SBC Reviews on Computer Science (ROCS) – or simply SBC Reviews – is a publication of the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC) that aims to publish comprehensive and detailed literature reviews on various topics of interest in computing, offering a channel for the dissemination of high-quality secondary studies and a reliable source for researchers looking for information about the state of the art in computer technologies.

Authors are invited to submit original contributions – written in English – presenting secondary studies, which will be evaluated taking into account both the rigor and reproducibility of the selection process of primary works, as well as the quality and reliability of the analysis of these works. Selected works should offer a contribution to the target area of the study.

SBC Reviews operates a single-blind peer-review system, where the reviewers are aware of the names and affiliations of the authors, but the reviewer reports provided to authors are anonymous Publication of research articles by SBC Reviews is dependent primarily on their scientific validity and coherence as judged by our external expert editors and/or peer reviewers, who will also assess whether the writing is comprehensible and whether the work represents a useful contribution to the field.

SBC Reviews publishes the following article type

Review: reviews are a feature of the journal that may include, but are not limited to (1) systematic and substantial syntheses of specific research areas of Computer Science, (2) evaluations of progress in specific areas of Computer Science, and (3) critical assessments with respect to issues within the scope of the journal. Contributions that only provide metadata analysis (e.g., relevant authors, publications density by year, most influential papers, etc.) are not encouraged.
